Location: Susan McLenaghan’s home, 3054 Rideau Ferry Road on hwy # 1 just south of Perth, 613-278-2774 (Maple Crest) Overview This meeting is intended to introduce many of the people who are running for the new GPO executive which will be chosen at the May 16 & 17 AGM. We suggested that you delay mailing your ballots until after this meeting. We will also be examining the proposed resolutions with the intent of providing our proxy votes to those who will be attending the AGM and are able to execute on our opinions. |

Former GPO candidate Rolly Montpellier expresses disappointment over harsh sentencing of Ardoch Algonquin First Nations negotiators.
Kingston – February 19, 2008 – Recent Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox-Addington GPO candidate, Rolly Montpellier, today expressed extreme disappointment over the sentencing of Ardoch Algonquin First Nation negotiator Bob Lovelace and Chief Paula Sherman at the Frontenac County Court in Kingston on February 15, 2008.
Montpellier stated, "Ontario's citizens care about healthy communities. Our Algonquin neighbors have stepped up to the plate and one man in particular is suffering the consequences of taking a strong stand to ensure First Nation's rights are protected." |

LETTER TO THE EDITOR TheToronto Star. | A carbon tax creates jobs. To work, carbon tax must sting Jan. 20 2008.
It is understandable that most people oppose a carbon tax if they think it will be a new tax. Nobody wants additional taxation. But a carbon tax would be welcomed by most of us if it was part of a tax shift off jobs and businesses. A carbon tax should be used to create a revenue stream with which governments reduce other taxes by an equal amount, dollar for dollar. |

Congratulations to Rolly and his campaign team. LFLA is a newly configured riding and taking that into account 7.1% more than doubles the 2003 results. Across Ontario the Greens are 8%, up from 2.3% in 2003. |
